Workshop overview

We have 4 workshops where our residents are occupied based on their interest and level of functioning.

  • 1. Creativity Workshop
  • 2. Weaving workshop
  • 3. Knitting Workshop
  • 4. Contracts Workshop

Irene Homes' protective workshops are safe and disability-friendly. They ensure opportunities through which our clients can develop and improve their skills and an opportunity to earn an income through the products they make, and sell, to supplement their disability grants. They are managed by Workshop Managers and Assistants under the guidance of our Occupational Therapist.

We welcome volunteers who would like to get involved in our workshops. Spend some time with our residents, get to know them and they will add as much value to your life as you would to theirs.

Our Creativity Workshop adds value to the lives of individuals with a mental disability on a lower functioning level.
